Protect what your current site has earned, and fix what it never did.
A redesign can go wrong when old links stop working or the new website looks better but still brings in few enquiries. CK Website Design plans how each old page will lead to the right new one and makes the next step clear for your customers. You get a website that reflects your business today, that your team can update, and that helps avoid losing visitors during the change. No provider can promise that your position on Google will stay the same.
Protect What You Have: A redesign should not cost you avoidable traffic.
If your new website uses different page addresses, old links can lead visitors to a missing page. Google can also lose track of pages people used to find, and recovery can take months.
Before design begins, we list your existing pages, check which ones people find on Google and through links from other websites, and plan where each old link should lead. After launch, we check Google's reports for problems.
Every old page address has a planned destination before launch.
Speed: Most redesigns inherit the problem that caused them.
Old websites can slow down because of too many add-ons, large pictures and features they no longer use. Changing how a site looks without fixing those problems often leaves it just as slow.
We rebuild rather than just change the appearance. We reduce picture sizes, remove unnecessary code and set up the site to reuse files it has already loaded. We measure loading speed and how smoothly the page works before and after.
Loading speed measured before and after, not just promised.
Route to Enquiry: Make the traffic you already have work harder.
If the current site gets visitors but few enquiries, the redesign has a measurable job to do. We look at where people land, what they read, where they stop and what they never find.
Then we organise each page around your customer's decision: clear next steps, forms that only ask for what you need, prices where customers expect them, and a way to record completed enquiries.
Enquiry journeys built from how your buyers decide.
A Site You Can Run: Update your own website without breaking it.
A common reason businesses redesign is that nobody can touch the current site. The person who built it has gone, the page builder is fragile and a text change takes a week.
We build editable content areas with sensible limits, then hand over properly with a one-hour online training session, a written manual and a recording you can give to whoever joins next.
One-hour online training, written manual and recording.
Look Like Today's Business: Your website should describe the business you are now.
Most sites being redesigned were built for a smaller version of the company. Services have changed, clients are bigger and the team has grown, yet the site still describes the business that existed at launch.
We rebuild the design and the content story around what you sell now and who you sell it to, so the first impression matches the conversation you want to have.
A bespoke design and content restructured around today's services.
Custom Redesigns. Smarter Websites.
Custom website redesign
Custom redesigns can improve how a website loads and works, while smart features connect enquiries and routine tasks to your business. These recorded before-and-after tests show one rebuild comparison, not guaranteed results for every website.
Before: the earlier build on its live web address.
After: the custom redesigned version on a test web address, before launch.

QS Vending came to us with a website that was not generating enquiries. We redesigned and rebuilt the site with a focused enquiry flow, then managed its Google Ads campaign. The two ran together.
35 enquiries. 10 July to 8 October 2026.
These enquiries came from a redesigned website and a managed Google Ads campaign running together. We are not claiming the redesign alone produced them.
QS Vending needed to make a complex product range easier to explore and enquire about. Luna Soap needed a store that could introduce its products to more people. The work continued beyond the build, with Google Ads for QS Vending and SEO for Luna Soap.

Website Redesign FAQs
Will a redesign hurt my Google rankings?
It can if the move is not planned. Before launch, we check which pages people find on Google and through links from other websites, then make each old link lead to the right new page. At launch, we send Google a list of the new pages and check its reports afterwards. Your position can change while Google checks the updated site, and nobody can promise it will stay the same. Our aim is to avoid unnecessary problems. We also offer help with being found on Google.
Our redesigns start at €4500 ex VAT, the same as a new business website, because we rebuild rather than just change the appearance. The final price depends on the number of pages, how much content needs rewriting or moving, and whether you need an online shop or booking system. You receive a fixed written quote before work starts.
Can the Grow Digital Voucher cover part of a redesign?
Not for the bespoke redesign itself. Local Enterprise Office guidance says the Grow Digital Voucher does not support bespoke website development, so we do not present a €4500 rebuild as voucher-funded. New subscription software and related training or configuration may qualify, subject to Local Enterprise Office approval. The scheme can cover up to 50% of eligible costs to a maximum of €5000, for businesses with 1 to 50 paid staff that have traded for at least six months and hold a Digital for Business report from the previous two years. Check current rules at localenterprise.ie before relying on it.
How long does a redesign take?
A business website redesign typically takes three to six weeks from the point we have your content and approvals. Online stores and platforms take longer. We agree the timeline before development starts.
Do I need a redesign or just a refresh?
If the site is slow, hard to update or not bringing in enquiries, changing its appearance may not fix the problem. If it already works well and simply looks dated, a design refresh may be enough. The Redesign Audit helps you decide, and we will tell you if you do not need a rebuild.
Can I keep my existing content?
Yes, and we usually move most of it to the new site. We check which pages bring visitors and enquiries, then keep and improve those. We may combine or remove pages that are not useful, while making their old links lead to an appropriate new page.
Will my website be faster after the redesign?
We measure how quickly the page loads and becomes ready to use before we start and again after launch. That gives you a before-and-after comparison, not just a promise. We rebuild rather than only change the appearance. Results still depend on where the site is hosted, what is on the page and any outside services it uses.
Can my team update the website afterwards?
Yes. Every redesign includes editable content areas, one hour of online training, a written manual and a recording of the session. Your team will be able to update content and manage the areas we agree at handover.
Do I own the website when it's finished?
After final payment, you own your website, content, design files and the custom code we write for you. You can move to another hosting company or developer. Software and add-ons made by other companies still have their own licence terms, as with any WordPress website.
What if my current site is on Wix, Squarespace or Shopify?
We can move your content to a new website and plan how old links will keep working. We cannot move the platform itself. During the audit, we will tell you if staying with your current website is the better decision. If you want to move your shop from Shopify to WordPress, we can help with that too.
